In my first box talking about what I agree with Gee, I talked about how I agree that social languages are embedded into your discourses. The reason that I agreed with him on this idea is because everyone could have the exact same discourse but know of them would be the same because everyone would have there own twist on that discourse and a big part of that twist is their social language. When Gee talks about how you cannot be taught a discourse, I believe that he is wrong. I think there are certain discourses that you must learn in order to become it. My next point that I brought up from Gee’s paper is that certain schools can you certain discourses and I believe that that is true especially when you are talking about schools that in force strict rules.
