Draft Conclusion, Project 3
When rereading all of the Literacy Narratives from Rising Cairn and the descriptions from Alexander/Brandt/Williams, it is very easy to see what defines a victim narrative from a non-victim narrative. I think that the narratives that I have chosen from Rising Cairn are a good example of what a victim narrative really is. I also think that a lot of students over react about their teachers and how they have been treated. Teachers have to deal with a lot of students and they expect their students to act and follow their directs. If one student is not doing that then they are going to not care and have the student do bad in their class. I think that in order for the literacy narrative to be a true victim narrative it has to exactly follow the words of Alexander and Brandt. They say that students who are purposely ignored and left in the dark are victims, but in all the literacy narratives that I have read from Rising Cairn they are considering themselves victims, when really they are the one that caused it.
